Today the Ottawa Business Journal released their newest edition, titled “Forty Under Forty”, and current Launch Lab client Wavve Boating was featured.
Wavve Boating, based in Kingston ON, was founded on the waters of the St. Lawrence River by owner Adam Allore. A lifelong boater and Engineer, Adam set out to tackle the problems he regularly saw while helping customers at a marina he once worked for. “When I was a teen working along the St. Lawrence Seaway, I would try to sell nautical charts, but most boaters couldn’t read them or didn’t care to learn how to”, says Adam.
Fast forward to 2021 where, since the initial proof of concept, Wavve Boating has grown thanks to a talented and passionate team driven to provide a better boating experience. Available through any Android or iOS smart device, the Wavve Boating app makes navigation while boating safer, and more easily accessible.
SOAN and our Launch Lab EIR’s worked closely with Adam to achieve his goals as a business owner and provided advice on the best way to further break into his specific market. “SOAN and Launch Lab work together to help companies create value, employ Canadians and help them scale”, says SOAN Managing Director Mike Amos.
